Female bosses work particularly in one sector of the financial world

An article in private banking magazin on gender diversity in the financial sector cites a study by KPMG, Fondsfrauen and the University of Mannheim.

The private banking magazine cites the study “Gender Diversity in der Asset-Management-Industrie” (Gender Diversity in the Asset Management Industry), which Prof. Dr. Alexandra Niessen-Ruenzi, holder of the Chair of General Business Administration and Corporate Governance, is one of three authors of. The article points out that the proportion of women in the German-speaking financial sector is lower than the proportion of men and that this difference increases significantly at higher management levels. Surprisingly, the proportion of women in public pension funds is higher than in other sectors, even though there are significantly more men in management positions there too. The reasons for this may be the work-life balance and the less aggressive environment that prevails in this sector.
