Our former team member, Dr. Davide V. Burkhart, has won the prestigious 2024 BME Science Award for his doctoral thesis titled „Risk and Disruption Management in Buyer-Supplier Relationships“. His dissertation focuses on the challenges associated with managing buyer-supplier relationships amidst risks and disruptions, particularly emphasizing transparency and information-sharing. The research questions investigated aimed to understand effective approaches for transparency, the impact of force majeure events, and the relationship between performance, disruptions, and their effects on individual suppliers.
