Welcome to the spring semester 2020!

The team of the Endowed Chair of Procurement warmly welcomes all new and previous students to the new semester in Mannheim. We hope everyone had an enjoyable winter break and is full of energy for the start of the spring semester. Check out our spring semester course offerings or directly come to our kickoff sessions in the bachelor and master program:
- First session of OPM 452 Processes and Strategies of Negotiation: Monday, February-17, 10:15 o'clock in room O 145 (this course is capacity-constrained – central rollment is mandatory and competition for the limited number of spaces may occur)
- First session of OPM 692 Advanced Procurement: Tuesday, February-11, 08:30 o'clock in room O 131
Also, please save-the-date for our semester highlights:
- Field trip to Roche Diagnostics on March-04, 14:00 – 17:00 o'clock: For more information, please see the flyer. All students interested in operations management are invited to join (but spaces are limited and we might discriminate in favor of students enrolled in our courses)
- Wissenschaftliches Symposium „Supply Management“ on March-09 and March-10: Free for students. Major highlights include the panel discussion on software procurement (Monday, March-09, 17:00 o'clock) and the keynote by Dr. Klaus Staubitzer, CPO of Siemens (Tuesday, March-10, 11:00 o'clock)
If you are interested in writing your master thesis with us during this semester, please see the current list of topics in our ILIAS group (registration required). For those of you who are inclined towards a master thesis in collaboration with a company, we have several exciting topics with CLAAS (on carry-over parts), Heidelberger Druckmaschinen (on spare parts), and Hilti (on performance management) – please contact us as soon as possible.
Last but not least, for those who will write their bachelor thesis with us, our kickoff sessions are:
- For Wi.-Päd.: Monday, February-17, 15:30 o'clock in SO 322
- For BWL: Thursday, April-02, time and location tba (topics will be announced on March-20)
