Dr. Aline Lanzrath wins Julie Bassermann Award 2025

The City of Mannheim presented the Julie Bassermann Award for the second time on March 27, 2025. As part of implementing the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men at the Local and Regional Level, this award honors outstanding young researchers whose work addresses the gender gap and the role of women in leadership positions.
Among this year’s award recipients is Dr. Aline Lanzrath, a habilitation candidate at our Chair of Business-to-Business Marketing, Sales & Pricing at the University of Mannheim. Her award-winning dissertation, “Talent and Diversity Management in Sales – An Empirical Study on Success Factors for Attracting and Retaining Sales Talent”, explores the potential of gender-diverse sales teams, the gender confidence gap, and current labor market communication, particularly in B2B sales.
The award ceremony was accompanied by a diverse program. As part of the FrauenMACHT series, the Mannheim Evening Academy hosted a panel discussion, providing valuable insights and inspiring perspectives on gender equality and women in leadership positions.
We are delighted by this well-deserved recognition and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Aline Lanzrath! A special thank you to the jury for their dedication and for honoring these outstanding academic contributions – especially to Prof. Alexandra Niessen-Ruenzi for her inspiring laudatio.
