Study plan

Internationality during your studies

An exchange semester and the consolidation of a foreign language ensure  a special international focus. Study during your fifth semester at one of our 200 partner universities worldwide or organize your studies abroad independently as a “Freemover”. Through the integrated exchange semester you broaden your academic and cultural horizon without prolonging the duration of your studies.

If you would like to spent more than one semester abroad, there are two other options: the IBEA study option with exchange stops at partner universities in Brazil, USA and Singapore or our double degree program with the Guanghua School of Management at the Peking University.

Foreign language competencies

Learn or improve a foreign language

Integrated semester abroad

Experience internationality closely at one of over 200 partner universities or as a “freemover”.

Study option IBEA

Study around the globe with three stops abroad in eight semesters!

Double degree program

The future leaders program at the Guanghua school of Management at the Peking University.

What our Students Think

For me, the University of Mannheim has set itself apart from other universities primarily through its international orientation. Having most courses in English, additional foreign language skills and a compulsory semester abroad with numerous international partner universities convinced me. In addition, there is of course the excellent reputation of the university as well as the large network of alumni and well-known companies, which significantly simplify internships and a later career entry. In addition, the students support each other in career planning, as everyone is committed and motivated to make their own contribution. This creates a mutually stimulating and collaborative environment. Thanks to the numerous initiatives at the University of Mannheim, you can improve or expand your own skills during your studies. For example, I am involved in the student committee Fachschaft BWL and at Q-Summit.

As a place to study, Mannheim is simply perfect! Everything is close by so that you can reach the university as well as numerous leisure activities in only a few minutes. Apart from studying, there is also the opportunity to work on projects in one of the many interesting student initiatives or the student committee. For example, I am active in the student committee for business administration.
