Study abroad during your Master’s degree in Economic and Business Education

Broaden your academic and cultural horizon!

A semester abroad in one of our exchange programs gives you the unique opportunity to study at a renowned business school in another country. You will not only expand your academic knowledge but also improve your intercultural skills and experience unforgettable moments!

Alternatively, you can organize your semester abroad independently as a „freemover“.

Partner universities

A list of exchange universities for application until October 31 can be found on the International Office's pages. For further information on the host universities and reports from prior exchange students, please take a look at the partner universities database.

Support

Whether it's about applying, funding opportunities, course choice or credit transfer – if you plan on studying abroad, you will have plenty of questions. The university's central International Office and the departmental exchange coordinators of the Business School are happy to help. An outline of the most important information and to-dos will shortly be available on our e-learning platform ILIAS.

Application

Apply during your first semester in Mannheim for a spot in an exchange program for the Master‘s of Economic and Business Education – you can name up to five universities (in order of priority) where you would like to study. Alternatively, you can organize your semester abroad independently as a freemover at a foreign university – we are happy to give advice.

Credit Transfer

To receive credit for courses you will be taking abroad, you will need to discuss „Learning Agreements“  beforehand. After returning to Mannheim, you will hand them in at the examination committee. You can find information about this process on ILIAS. Furthermore, you can take a look at the database of previously recognized courses.
