Future Founders Week 2026

9–13 February 2026

Are you interested in developing your own startup ideas, structuring them with innovative methods, and ultimately presenting them to a jury?

Then take part in Future Founders Week – the startup initiative week at the University of Mannheim.

Over the course of five intensive evening sessions, you will acquire the skills for taking your first steps into the world of entrepreneurship: From idea generation to pitch day. Throughout the program, you will be supported by experienced founders, dedicated mentors, and Mannheim’s dynamic startup ecosystem.

Participation
The event is open to business administration students in their second semester. Attendance at the kickoff event (9 February) is mandatory in order to take part in the full week’s activities.

Registration will be open from January 19 to 2 February 2026, via Portal2. Please make sure to register in time to secure your spot.

Location
All events take place at the MAFINEX Technology Center (Julius-Hatry-Str. 1, 68163 Mannheim) – right in the heart of Mannheim’s start-up ecosystem.
Catering
Free catering will be provided for all participants.

Monday, 9 February 2026

Startup-Kickoff (5.30–8.30 p.m.)

Kick-off including keynote, start-up pitches, MAFINEX tour and networking. Attendance required for all subsequent sessions.

Tuesday, 10 February 2026

Ideas that Matter – From Problem to Solution (5.30–8.30 p.m.)

From problems to ideas: creative techniques, team building, and developing solution approaches.

Wednesday, 11 February 2026

Build your Business Model (7–8.30 p.m.)

Tools such as the Business Model Canvas help you translate your idea into a business model.

Thursday, 12 February 2026

Storytelling: Pitching & Validation (7–8.30 p.m.)

Learn how to persuade others through storytelling, effective pitching, and early-stage validation.

Friday, 13 February 2026

Grand Finale: Pitch Day & Future Founders Award (12–1.30 p.m.)

Pitches in front of jury and audience, feedback from experts and award ceremony.
