InnoMa Project Funding – Digital Teaching at the University of Mannheim

The chair of Prof. Dr. Bernd Helmig has received project funding by the Inno MA Fund for Digital Teaching. The project “Social video learning” aims for the integration of a video annotation option in ILIAS, offering students additional possibilities for interaction and deepening of contents when learning with videos. The goal of the project is to use digital elements profitably in courses beyond the Corona pandemic..

InnoMA: Fund for Digital Teaching started

Giving teachers financial leeway and supporting them in testing and developing digital teaching is the goal of the new “Innovative Digital Teaching” fund of the University of Mannheim. Over the next three years, a budget of EUR 1.1 million will be available for this. The digitalization of teaching is an important goal of the University of Mannheim to promote internationalization and support the academic success of its students. In July 2021, the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre (foundation for innovation in higher education teaching) has provided the University of Mannheim with around EUR 2.7 million for the InnoMA project.
