New Partner company: DEICHMANN SE

The association “Partner der Mannheimer Betriebswirtschaftslehre” has gained another valuable member with DEICHMANN SE.

The Business School of the University of Mannheim is excited to welcome the new member to its partner network. Alexander Bellin, Member of the Board of Directors of Deichmann SE, will represent the company in the partner association. Bellin says about the new cooperation: “I am very pleased about the partnership with the Business School of the University of Mannheim. The business education in Mannheim enjoys an excellent reputation and stands for the highest quality at an international level, which we are very keen to support on the part of DEICHMANN SE. It is very important to me to interact directly and on a personal note with the students and especially to get them excited about digital and marketing-oriented business topics in the retail area.”

Trendsetter with tradition: DEICHMANN SE, which is headquartered in Essen, Germany, was founded in 1913 and is still a wholly owned family company. It is the European footwear retail market leader and active in 31 countries worldwide. The company has over 48,000 employees and operates about 4,600 stores, as well as 41 online shops. In addition to the DEICHMANN stores the company owns the MyShoes chain, Dosenbach, Ochsner Shoes and Ochsner Sport in Switzerland, vanHaren in the Netherlands and Belgium and Rack Room Shoes in the USA. It also owns the SNIPES Group with stores and online shops in Europe and the USA.

The family-owned company continues to develop. Expansion of digital competence, further development of omnichannel concepts: For Europe's largest shoe retailer, the aim is to make its stores even more modern and interesting to experience in the future, to continue to drive international growth, to become even better in the online and omnichannel business, to make its processes more efficient and to further strengthen the uniqueness of the DEICHMANN brand.
