MAN 521 (MAN 5210): Science Management

Contents
The module content includes, in addition to an overview of the structure and functioning of the German science system, its legal foundations and the ways in which universities and research institutions are governed. It also provides insights into the day-to-day work of university leadership, ranging from personnel management to funding and marketing management. The module further covers career prospects in academia, including employment conditions, as well as the connections between the science system and current (global) politics.
