KAMAX cooperates with the University of Mannheim in the field of management analytics

The mobility supplier headquartered in Homberg (Ohm) has now entered into a cooperation agreement with the Management Analytics Center (MAC) of the University of Mannheim.

Following the expansion of its expertise and product portfolio through the acquisition of majority stakes in the Robert Schröder Group last year and in the Spanish coating specialist GALOL a few weeks ago, the strategic transformation of the KAMAX Group continues: the mobility supplier headquartered in Homberg (Ohm) has now entered into a cooperation agreement with the Management Analytics Center (MAC) of the University of Mannheim.

At the heart of the collaboration is the collection and analysis of data from within the company itself, as well as the addition of external information to draw relevant insights and use them effectively. Against the backdrop of ever-increasing data availability, the topic of business intelligence and analytics is gaining in importance throughout the mobility industry and will also represent a competitive advantage for KAMAX in the future.

“The term Business Intelligence refers to the integration of processes, strategies, and techniques to link, digitally present and analyze the diverse data from the company as well as from external market sources. The cooperation with MAC allows us to take this topic to a new level and create a better basis for important decisions,” explains Aisha Sanz, Head of the KAMAX Business Intelligence Competence Center.

Prof. Dr. Hartmut Höhle, chairholder of the Chair of Enterprise Systems and Director of the Management Analytics Center, was interviewed last year in an internal KAMAX online seminar on the topic of management analytics. Subsequently, the MAC conducted an in-depth analysis to uncover the current status as well as the potential for improvement at KAMAX. “Scientific research clearly shows that companies that use business intelligence and analytics achieve competitive advantages. Accordingly, establishing these capabilities is central to many companies today. With this in mind, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the KAMAX Group and accompany them on their further journey, which will enable practical research at the highest level,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Höhle.

As part of the cooperation, the KAMAX Group will also be funding a sponsorship award in the coming years for the best annual master's thesis in the field of analytics at the University of Mannheim.
