New publication of the chairs Deutscher, Rausch and Seifried

The paper addresses the need to integrate innovation in vocational education into the examination system and presents a process and stakeholder-oriented examination model using the LUCA Office Simulation.

Innovations in vocational education and training that take place in schools and companies as part of digitization ultimately risk failing if they are not also mapped in the examination system. With this in mind, the article deals with the conception of a process- and stakeholder-oriented examination model for vocational education and training for the organization and implementation of examinations both for intermediate and final examinations (examinations at the central level) and for company and school learning success checks (decentralized level). The potentials of digital commercial intermediate and final examinations with the LUCA Office Simulation are outlined based on an implementation example. In the outlook, we reflect on the aspects that currently still limit the potential of digital testing in vocational training.
