Updated selection statute for the Mannheim Master in Management

Admission requirements and selection criteria adjusted

The selection statute for the business administration master’s program “Mannheim Master in Management” (MMM) at the University of Mannheim were modified on December 13, 2021 with regard to admission requirements and selection criteria.

The following admission requirements apply (these must be met in full for the application to be considered):

  • Bachelor's degree (at least 180 ECTS or 6 semesters)
  • Previous knowledge in business administration amounting to at least 36 ECTS
  • English language skills at C1-level (this is considered proven if at least 40% of the bachelor's studies are completed in English)
  • German language skills at C1-level (only for applications in the German / English track; not necessary for German citizens and bachelor's graduates from a German university)

These selection criteria must also be met.
Applicants receive ranking points for fulfilling criteria; however, they can also apply successfully if they do not meet the criteria:

  • final grade of bachelor's degree (up to 60 ranking points)
  • Results of the GMAT or GRE: results from 600 points onwards are taken into account;the novelty is that applicants no longer need the GMAT / GRE to apply. However, since they will receive up to 60 ranking points for the result, we recommend that all applicants take one of the tests in order to increase their chances of admission.
  • Semester abroad (22 ranking points)
  • Practical experience (e.g. internship, working student positions; up to 6 ranking points)

The new selection criteria allow applicants to increase their chances of admission even further with good grades, internships and a good result in the GMAT or GRE.

The next application phase for the MMM starts on 15 March through 31 May, 2022.
