The Chair of Business-to-Business Marketing, Sales & Pricing of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christian Homburg is internationally known for scientific excellence and has a first-class network in science and practice.   • How can I benefit from research cooperations with companies?

    Our chair aligns its research questions with currently relevant topics in practice. In recent years, more than 50 research cooperations with companies have been successfully implemented, among others with Accenture, Bosch, BASF, Roche, PERI or SAP.

    In particular, doctoral studies can benefit through research cooperations with partner companies of the IMU in every phase of their studies. For example, the partner companies are available to discuss the PhD topic from a practical perspective or to collect data in their own company.

    Our doctoral students thus benefit from the possibility to collect valuable data quickly and to establish helpful company contacts.

  • Why should I apply as doctoral student at the Chair of Prof. Homburg?

    The doctoral studies at our chair are characterized by the following aspects:

    As a research assistant at our chair, you will advance your dissertation project from the very beginning and with priority. You will work in close cooperation with Professor Homburg on empirical research projects with the aim of publishing them internationally.

  • How does the application process work?

    We look forward to receiving your application if you are two to twelve months away from completing your Master's degree. Interested applicants are requested to send their informative documents (cover letter, CV, references) via email to Alin Schröder, indicating the earliest possible starting date.

    If you qualify, you will receive an invitation to a telephone interview in the next step.

    Finally, we will get to know each other in interviews with the chair's staff and Professor Homburg.
