Professor Homburg was ranked No. 1 Marketing Researcher by the American Marketing Association (AMA) according to his top tier journal publications between 2010 and 2014. In the current AMA ranking, he is ranked 4th worldwide for his research productivity between 2011 and 2021 in the most influential marketing journals. As a result, he was the first European university professor to be honored as an AMA Fellow for lifetime achievement in marketing research. The research-related ranking of the newspaper Handelsblatt named Professor Homburg as Germany’s most productive management professor in 2012 and 2014.
