Professor Homburg was ranked No. 1 Marketing Researcher by the American Marketing Association (AMA) according to his top tier journal publications between 2010 and 2014. According to the newest Author Productivity Ranking in the Premier AMA Journals, he is ranked No. 2 worldwide with 19 articles published in the Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research between 2008 and 2017. The research-related ranking of the newspaper Handelsblatt named Professor Homburg as Germany’s most productive management professor in 2012 and 2014. In 2019 and 2021, WirtschaftsWoche honored Professor Homburg for his Lifetime Achievement as the most research-intensive professor in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
