He was ranked No. 1 Marketing Researcher by the American Marketing Association (AMA) according to his top tier journal publications between 2010 and 2014. In the current AMA ranking, he is ranked 4th worldwide for his research productivity between 2011 and 2021 in the most influential marketing journals. The research-related ranking of the newspaper Handelsblatt named Professor Homburg as Germany’s most productive management professor in 2012 and 2014. In 2019 and 2021, WirtschaftsWoche honored Professor Homburg for his Lifetime Achievement as the most research-intensive professor in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
