FAQ Letters of Recommendation
Where can I get a letter of recommendation?
Students who need an appraisal for an application at a foreign university (e.g., study abroad or master's degree) or in the context of scholarships and/
or foundations should firstly direct their request to the dean's office or write to gutachten(at)bwl.uni-mannheim.de. What should I do if the dean's office directed me to your chair?
Please direct your request to Alin Schröder and make an appointment at short-notice and independently during consultation hours.
Please provide the following documents for appraisal:
- Certificate of undergraduate degree (if applicable)
- Transcript of Records
- Ranking (i.e. class ranking from the study office)
- CV
Please note that you commit yourself to inform us upon learning about the outcome (acceptance/rejection/wait list) of your application.
Upon receipt of all required documents at the chair, the process usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. Please take this into account regarding application deadlines.
Accreditation of Courses Taken Abroad
Students in the MMM can find information on course recognition and learning agreements here; M. Sc. students in business education will find it here. The business school’s undergraduate and double degree students will be informed directly by the dean’s office. Students from other schools with a minor in business should contact Cathrin Rieger at the dean’s office.
